IPCH European Championship postponed

Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The IPCH and Local Organizing Committee have decided to postpone the IPCH European Championship 2020 in Pajulahti, Finland.

It hasn’t been an easy decision, but we have assessed the situation and by recommendations from the Finnish government and because our Powerchair Hockey community is more vulnerable to the COVID-19, we dont see any other options than to postpone the event.

The Finnish government have just announced that all events with more than 500 people and events with vulnerable groups should be canceled until earliest end of may. This has also been a deciding factor, since this is very close to the start of the European Championship and the cancellation of events can easily be extended.

We have still not secured a new date, but the Local Organizing Committee is working hard to secure new dates as soon as possible.

We are aware that some nations and officials already have booked travel arrangements. If you have troubles getting refunded your cancellation or change of dates for travel arrangements, we encourage you to get in touch with us, so we can support you the best we can.

Entry payments will be kept valid for the event and we will soon provide new informations on new registration deadlines and payment.
